Creating a product is a crucial step in managing your online store. It allows you to add new items to your catalog, define their features, prices, and images, and make them available for sale.
To create a new product:
- From your store's admin, go to Store → Products.
- Click Create.
- Enter the required information in the General section.
Title: Provide a unique and distinctive name for the product you wish to offer.
Subtitle (Optional): or short descriptions, are a great way to provide additional information about a product, whether to highlight its benefits, specific features, or ingredients.
ID (Optional): This is used to reference the product in your storefront, equivalent to the URL. If not specified, the ID will be generated from the product title.
To create the identifier, be sure to enter hyphens between words and avoid accents. For example, if your product title is Winter jacket, and you want to highlight its material, you could enter: winter-jacket-cotton-bio.
Description (Optional): Write a complete and detailed description of the product. This is an opportunity to explain its features, benefits, and any other relevant details.
Media (Optional): Upload high-quality images to showcase your product. Attractive images play a key role in customers' purchasing decisions. The current image format is square.
NOTE:
The current Media format is square. Please ensure sufficient margins around the product to maximize its display.
Even when the image isn't fully visible, the editor offers a click-to-zoom feature. Your customers can use this feature to view the details of your products.
- Click Continue.
Note:
If the image doesn't display when you upload it to your product, please follow the four steps below to correct the problem.
- Upload your image.
- Hover over the image that appears. A checkbox will appear in the upper right corner; select it.
- Select the "Make Thumbnail" option that appears at the bottom.
- Save.
You can follow these same steps to add an image to products that are already configured but whose image isn't displaying.
Once the image is displayed, click Continue and choose the Product Category and Type.
- If your product does not offer options or variants :
In the Variants section, a default variant will be automatically created.
- Click Continue and choose the Category and Product type.
- Click Continue.
- Enter the SKU (if applicable).
- The Managed Inventory box is checked by default. If it is not, enable it; this action is mandatory. Without it, you will not be able to activate either your warehouse Location or the Quantity of items in stock.
- Enter the product Price according to the currencies configured in your store.
- Click Publish.
- If your product offers options and variants :
- Enable the "Yes, this is a product with variants" option.
- In the Product options section, click Add.
- Add the Option Name (e.g., "Color, Size, etc.").
- Add the Option Value (e.g., "XS, S, M, L, XL, etc.").
- Variants are created automatically.
Note:
You can still create and edit variants manually later.
- Click Save as Draft or Continue.
- In the Organization window, configure the following settings: Type (Optional), Collection (Optional), Categories (Optional).
- Click Save as Draft or Continue.
- In the Variants window, configure the following settings: SKU, Managed Inventory, Allow Backorders, Inventory Kit, Price (based on the offered currencies).
REMARK :
The Managed Inventory box is checked by default. If it is not, enable it; this action is mandatory. Without it, you will not be able to activate either your warehouse Location or the Quantity of items in stock.
IMPORTANT: To ensure the accuracy of the product's "Estimated Amount" when validating an order, it is imperative that an amount has been specified in the Price sections for each Currency and for each Region for all products.
- Repeat these steps for all available variants.
- Click Publish.
Note:
Each time a variant is added to a product, all its parameters are automatically added to the Inventory column of the Variants window.
To indicate the quantity of items available in stock, click the three-dot icon to the right of the Variants menu and click Edit stock.
- You can also check the Title box in the Variants window.
- Click the Edit stock levels button that appears at the bottom of the table.
- In the window that displays, enable the Stock Location.
- Enter the quantity in stock pour la variant.
- Click Save.

Editing variants for an existing product
- From your store's admin, go to Store → Products.
- Click the three-dot icon to the right of the product you want to edit.
- Click Edit.
- In the Variants section, click the three-dot icon to the right of the variant.
- These are your options : Edit, go to the inventory item, and Delete.
- Click Edit.
- In the Edit variant window, you can modify the following settings: Title, Material (Optional), Size, and Color.
- Click Save.
- In the Stock & Inventory window, you can configure or modify the following settings: SKU (Optional), EAN (Optional), UPC (Optional), and Barcode (Optional).
- Manage Inventory: This box is enabled by default. When enabled, we will adjust the inventory quantity for you when orders and returns are created.

- Allow back orders: When enabled, customers can purchase the variant even if there is no quantity available.
- Click Save.
- In the Attributes window, configure the following settings: Height, Width, Length, Weight, MID Code, HS Code, and Country of Origin.
