Verifying your domain allows you, among other things, to manage permissions to modify your links and content in order to prevent misuse of your domain.
To do this, you must prove that you are the owner.
First, you must create an account on Google Search Console, then you will need to register your site and prove that you are the owner. You will then have to complete a few steps to prove your ownership.
- Once logged in to your account, click on the + Add property option:
- If you are using a custom domain name with your WebSelf site, enter the domain name you want to validate (without the www.).

- Click CONTINUE.
Note: If you are using a custom domain name with your WebSelf site, it is only possible to verify domain ownership via the TXT record in the DNS configuration.
- Click COPY.
- Leave the page open.
3-) adding code to WebSelf.
All you have to do is go to your WebSelf site.
- Go to the DOMAINS tab in the Dashboard.
Click Advanced Settings, in the gearbox to the right of your domain.
- In the DNS Record (HOST) section click EDIT.
- The EDIT DNS window appears, click Add Host.
- Choose TXT from the drop-down list.
- The TXT record is added.
- Paste the code obtained from Google Console into the field.
(e.g.: google-site-verification=fXpDthe4KmhKROAG2mjJnhI64jJCccPQ-x32eYetVY8) - Click SAVE.
4-) Validate the code with Google Search Console
- Return to your Google Console account page and click on the VALIDATE link.
- Make sure you have received the message ¨The property has been validated¨.
