WebSelf allows you to connect a set of analytic tools and notifications designed to help you monitor the status and health of your site, and maximize its visibility on Google.
Note:
The Google Search Console feature is offered starting from the Starter plan.
1-) First, you must create an account on Google Search Console.
2-) Then you will need to register your site and prove that you are the owner. You will then have to complete a few steps to prove your ownership.
- Once logged in to your account, click on the + Add property option:
- Enter the domain name you want to validate (without the www.).

IMPORTANT: If your site uses WebSelf's subdomain, use the right column to enter the name in the URL Prefix.
Exemple: https://mon-siteweb-00.webselfsite.net
- Click CONTINUE.
Note: If you are using a custom domain name with your WebSelf site, it is only possible to verify domain ownership via the TXT record in the DNS configuration.
- Click COPY.
- Leave the page open.
3-) adding code to WebSelf.
- In the Settings tab, you can configure your Google Search Console meta tag.
- To access it, go to the Vertical Management Bar on the left side of the editor, and click on the gear icon at the bottom.
- Go to the Code and Tracking section.
- Click ADD. A window will appear to suggest upgrading to a higher plan.
- Once you have completed your subscription, you will be able to add Google Search Console meta tag, add the tag in the box provided for this purpose.

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that, it can be a waiting time of a few hours before the Google Search Console meta tag is taken into consideration. In the meantime, it's very normal to view the displayed message: “Sitemap could not be read”
4. Return to the Google Search Console page that is resting.
- Click on VALIDATE.
- Click on FINISH.
- Mke sure that you receive the message «The property is valid».
Please note that it can be a waiting time for the information to appear before you reach the Google Search Console account.
