Cookies (or trackers, to be more precise) are text files downloaded to a website visitor's browser on their computer.
Here are the four types of cookies found on WebSelf:
Essential Cookies
- These cookies enable essential security, identity verification, and network management functions. These cookies cannot be disabled.
Marketing Cookies
- These cookies are used to track the effectiveness of advertising to provide more relevant service and deliver better ads tailored to your interests.
Functional Cookies
- These cookies collect data to remember user choices to improve and provide a more personalized experience.
Analytical Cookies
- These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website, identify errors, and provide better analytics.
Cookie Consent Banner
The cookie notice is displayed on websites and specific applications when the user visits for the first time.
Webself offers a feature allowing you to display a cookie consent banner to your visitors. Since April 1, 2021, European websites must inform users about the purpose of cookies; these trackers store users' browsing data.
In the Settings tab, you can configure the Cookies for your site.
- To access it, go to the Vertical Management Bar on the left side of the editor, and click on the gear icon at the bottom.
- Go to the General section.
- In the Cookies tab, here is your option:
Display a Consent Banner; a standard cookie consent banner will appear on a page of your site to request visitors' consent.
The ENABLED button is checked by default.
