Today, optimizing your website's SEO is primarily about preparing it for the future of the web, where artificial intelligence plays a central role in online search and interactions. AI influences SEO by improving its understanding of user intent and optimizing content for voice and semantic searches (which aim to understand the context and intent behind a user's search query, rather than simply matching keywords).
This improves your website's visibility in search results, makes it more accessible, and provides a better user experience (UX). Ultimately, this often translates into increased traffic and a higher conversion rate.
NOTE: After registering your domain name and launching your website, it will not be immediately accessible on major search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. There is a standard waiting period before content is indexed. The processing time for search engines themselves is generally at least two weeks.

Today, search engine optimization (SEO) also relies on an optimal user experience. In practical terms, this means relying on a solid technical foundation (loading speed, mobile compatibility) and high-quality content aligned with search intent (long-tail keywords).
The WebSelf Simple editor was designed with this in mind:
- Since Google now prioritizes mobile indexing, WebSelf Simple guarantees perfect compatibility on mobile devices.
- Loading speed, usability, and accessibility have been carefully optimized.
IMPORTANT: Please note that loading speed depends in particular on the size of the images and the amount of content displayed on the site. The WebSelf editor is designed to promote clean, minimalist websites; therefore, it's up to you to optimize your images and ensure that the content remains lightweight to guarantee good performance.
However, there are elements that remain crucial for your site's SEO and require your attention to ensure its success:
Your Content
It must first and foremost be user-centric: relevant, useful, and truly enriching, in order to precisely answer their questions.
Clearly communicating what you do, who you serve, and how your offering addresses a specific person’s needs has always been a strong marketing approach. In today’s environment, that level of precision matters even more. If you’ve already done this well (across your website, customer reviews, and content), you’re in a powerful position with a clear competitive advantage.
Keywords remain essential in SEO, but their use has changed significantly. We're no longer limited to isolated keywords: the goal is now to understand users' search intent and to develop keyword combinations that naturally answer more conversational and complex queries.
To achieve this, building optimized content around your keywords involves first identifying relevant terms and then organizing them thematically within your website.
These keywords should then be naturally integrated into your titles, body text, and descriptions, using variations to boost your SEO without resorting to keyword stuffing.
- Keywords
A "keyword" or "key phrase" is the term a user enters into a search engine's search bar to find a website.
It is recommended to prioritize long-tail keywords, meaning phrases of three words or more, as they attract highly qualified traffic. Their search intent is more precise (the user knows exactly what they are looking for), which often leads to better conversions, even if their search volume is lower than that of generic keywords.
For example, "Florist Ambiance Bastille" is a keyword phrase, meaning a combination of keywords.
Keyword phrases provide more context, precision, and nuance, which enhances the clarity, effectiveness, and authenticity of your communication.
Carefully considering your keywords is essential. By targeting the right terms and integrating them naturally into your content, you improve your search engine optimization (SEO). Your ability to appear in search engine results pages (SERPs) depends largely on this selection.
Therefore, you must answer this question: which search terms do you want to be found for first?
Create a list of all keyword combinations related to your website or industry. Don't hesitate to use specialized tools to enrich this list with keywords you wouldn't have spontaneously considered, then analyze their relevance and effectiveness.
Interest. Once your list is finalized, focus solely on the best keywords.
These keywords should appear in your site title, meta description, page URLs, and, more broadly, be naturally integrated throughout all your content.
Tip: A tool allows you to obtain the (approximate) monthly search volume for the keywords you've defined in your list for free: Google Keyword Planner.
IMPORTANT: Optimizing your site for LLMs (or Large Language Models) is like making your site smarter and more accessible. It's about making your content clear, structured, and natural, while using tools like structured data to help AI understand and interact with your site. The goal is to make your site as compatible as possible with AI-based technologies to improve user experience, search engine optimization (SEO), and voice search. All of this makes your site more efficient and better adapted to new technologies.
Integrated into the WebSelf editor, there are tools available to help you optimize your site's SEO:
-Your domain name
Your domain name should be as specific as possible and closely related to your industry. It's best to choose a name that contains the keywords you want to be found on search engines like Google. The title is also visually important because it offers internet users a reference point.
Example: florist75.com is an accurate domain generally, but when you consider the millions of sites dealing with florists, this one is not specific to your business. floristambiance-new-york.com is much more detailed and contains keywords to find your site precisely. Indeed, your domain name indicates that your activity is a florist, that your store is called Florist Ambiance, and that you are located in New York.
SEO for Your Pages
Whether it's an existing page (especially the homepage) or a new page added to your site, always take the time to fill in the relevant metadata.
Note: The homepage is crucial for SEO: it's usually the most visited page, influences users' first impressions, and significantly contributes to your website's authority with Google and other search engines.
With the WebSelf editor, you can fill in the metadata for each page (URL, title tag, meta description).
To do this, click on Page, then on the three-dot icon, and select Settings.
-Page URL
The page URL is the web path to your page. By default, this is based on the Page Name. For SEO purposes, you can modify this one. It is best to use strategic keywords in URLs. The full address of your page will look like this: http://www.Yoursite.com/AddressURLofYourPage.ws. So choose a URL address that contains specific keywords or terms on the landing page.
Advice:
Try to limit the length of your URL so that it is easier for the visitor to remember.
If you change your URL addresses, you will have to redo all the links that point to this page on your site or your partners' websites.
Page title
The Page title (Title tag) is the first information analyzed by search engines and is the most visible. It is displayed on each entry in search results and should precisely and concisely describe your page. The most crucial Page title of your site is the homepage title.
So take the time to add a relevant title on the SEO Settings tab when you add a page to your WebSelf site. The Title field of the page (Title tag) is also a way to have additional keywords to boost the SEO of your pages. The title of your page should be short and correspond as closely as possible to the content. It is better to use a different title for each page and change it regularly.
Try to limit the length of your page title to between 50 and 60 characters (including spaces).
Metadescription
You can enter a short description of your page in the page description, Which will appear in the search results pages.
Advice :
The description should be short and condensed but written in a readable paragraph containing between 70 and 160 characters. Essential keywords can also be there, but they should be included in a complete sentence, not as a list.
H1 tag
In a web page, the titles introducing the content in HTML are indicated by h1,h2, etc., and h6 tags and have 2 primary purposes :
- Prepare to read the paragraph by summarizing its content
- Indicate to search engines the essential information on the page ( the Google algorithm would give more weight to the keyword and expressions contained in the title than to the rest of the content).
At WebSelf, we add an h1 tag when the Title in my items pm the left is checked. You can then add H2, H3 by changing the paragraph format in your other texts.
Important:
It is recommended to use a maximum of one H1 tag per page. Otherwise, you risk being penalized by Google.
Alternative texts (ALT attributes)
ALT attributes are alternative texts describing the photos on your site. It gives the same information as the image in the page code. In case the image is not displayed ( due to server overload or connection problem, for example) or if the image cannot be seen, either by a web crawler or a screen reader for people who are blind, the alt text will be displayed, and the information will not be lost. This field is, therefore, essential in the connection of the SEO of your site.
You can add an ALT attribute via an Image and a Video when choosing how to display your backgrounds in the window :
- WHAT DOES THIS IMAGE REPRESENT?, enter information about your image so that Google robots can correctly identify it.
Favicon
A Favicon is a computer icon symbolizing a website. Browsers use Favicons in the address bar, title bar, bookmarks, tabs, and other shortcuts.
Advice:
Choosing a Favicon helps strengthen your brand image in people's minds by associating a picture with your site or activity. You can insert your logo as a Favicon or choose one from our large selection.
To upload your favicon, go to the vertical Management bar on the bottom left of the editor and click on the ''Settings'' tab. Click on edit to access the bank of favicons we provide, or click Add to upload your image.
