A script allows you to add a "widget" to your site, meaning HTML or JavaScript code.
This option lets you use many features that are not directly offered by WebSelf (e.g., a visitor counter), but it involves handling code.
The process mainly consists of inserting the code provided by the third-party service, following their specific instructions.
You can add a script to any page, or by adding a new section to your site.
Script insertion is only available for the "Advanced" and "VIP" plans.
Note:
Some widgets may contain code that is incompatible with certain browsers, which may cause display issues.
For example, some scripts generate unwanted pop-up ads.
To fix this, the only solution is to remove the script.
Adding a basic script
To add a script, you have two options:
1. Add a section, then select "Script" on the left. You'll see several examples. Choose one and click "Edit". You can modify the code, as well as its size and alignment.
In some cases, you can also adjust the script size for tablet and mobile formats.
2. Go to the settings by clicking the button at the bottom right, then go to the "Code and Tracking" tab. There, you can "Activate" or "Disable" the script you insert. This script will appear on all pages of your site.
You can see the script in preview mode or once it is published.
