Script/HTML section

When you create your site, five pages are created by default. These pages are made up of various sections.

A Script/HTML section allows you to add HTML or JavaScript code to your site. This enables the use of many features not directly offered by WebSelf (e.g., Google Calendar, social media feeds, podcasts, visitor counters, buttons, PayPal, etc.), though using them requires handling code. This primarily involves inserting code provided by a third-party service according to that service's instructions.

The Script/HTML section is available only with the Advanced and VIP WebSelf premium plans.



NOTE:

• WebSelf does not manage or modify HTML or JavaScript code. It is the user's responsibility to ensure the code is correctly configured.
• Some widgets may contain code that is incompatible with certain browsers, leading to display issues. For example, some scripts generate intrusive advertisements (pop-ups). The only solution in such cases is to remove the script.
   

Two options are available for adding a Script/HTML section:

1. Within a specific section of a page.
2. On all your pages.
    

1. Within a specific section of a page.

• Add a section, then select Script/HTML from the left-hand menu. Four script types are available to choose from.
• Once you select a script type, a message appears confirming the addition of the Script/HTML section.

In the "Your Templates" vertical column, choose the Script/HTML section design that best suits your needs.

  

By hovering over the section, you can access various features using the icons located in the top right corner:

• Edit.
• Save this section as a reusable template.
• Edit the template.
• Edit color and background.
• Duplicate.

  The Script/HTML element allows you to embed external code (a script); click EDIT.
  
  

  Click EDIT CODE (to embed your own).
  Adjust the Size (Width and Height) and Alignment as needed.
   

Note : You can also specifically adjust the script's size for tablet and mobile versions.

2. On all your pages.

You must do this via the site Settings: the script will appear on every page of your site.

• Click Settings, located at the bottom of the editor's left-hand column.
  
  
   
• A window appears; go to the "Code and tracking" tab.
• Go to Script.
  -DISABLED: the feature is disabled by default.
  -ENABLED: once enabled, the feature is ready to accept HTML or JavaScript code.
• Enter your HTML or JavaScript code into the designated field.

Note : to hide existing code, set the button to "DISABLED".
