You can eliminate a single item in your shop or remove multiple items at once (for instance, dispose of all demonstration items). When you remove a product, it’s permanently erased from your shop, but still remains visible in the transaction history on the Orders page in your shop admin. If you wish to conceal any item from customers but prefer not to erase it, you can deactivate it instead.

Deactivate products
Concealing specific items from customers can be beneficial if you vend seasonal attire, Festive specials, or simply run out of stock. Deactivated products will not be displayed to your customers, but they will persist in your catalog in the shop admin. You can activate them at any time.
To conceal items from customers:
- From your shop admin, go to Catalog → Products.
- Turn off the Enabled toggler for the item you wish to deactivate.
To deactivate items in bulk, select items you wish to deactivate (you can utilize product filter to find all the items you wish to deactivate) and click Mass Update → Enable or Disable → Disable Selected.
To reveal the item, turn the toggler back on.
Erase products
You can erase any item if you are not intending to vend it. You also need to eliminate test items after establishing a shop so when you go live your customers won’t be perplexed with the test items.
If you wish to eliminate an item from a category, you can unassign the item from this category. If you want to eliminate items from the Featured Items section only, you should remove these items from the default Shop Front Page category.
Deleting one item
To permanently erase an item from your catalog:
- From your shop admin, go to Catalog → Products.
- Locate an item you wish to erase.
- For this item click on the v icon next to the Edit Item option to unfold the dropdown menu.
- Select Erase Item:
- Confirm you wish to erase this item.
Erasing several items
You can dispose of several items at once. For example, when you wish to remove demo items that are added to your shop to illustrate examples of item setup.
To erase several items at once:
- From your shop admin, go to Catalog → Products.
- Select items you wish to erase. You can utilize filters to locate all items meeting certain criteria (for example, all Deactivated items or items displayed in the shop front).
- Click Mass Update that appears on the top of the item list.
- Choose Erase Selected.
- Confirm your decision.
