Goods encompass the tangible items, electronic data, and assistance offerings that you offer. To craft a product, you must specify the title and upload product visuals. Furthermore, you can append product particulars that aid your clientele in comprehending the product: include description, available dimensions, mass, etc. You don't need to furnish every detail for every product.
You can examine and adjust product particulars from the Catalog → Products section in your shop administration.

Visuals
Visuals exhibit to customers the appearance of your products. Selling to consumers relies heavily on presentation. You can display various angles of the product, such as front-facing, side-view, underside, close-up, etc., enabling customers to examine the item in detail before purchase.
Remember, the caliber of your product visuals significantly impacts your capacity to drive sales. Here are some pointers:
- Ensure consistency in size and style for each product image throughout your entire product range.
- Utilize high-quality visuals to highlight intricate details for customer scrutiny.

Title and description
Title serves as the identifier for your item. When titling a product, you can evoke thoughts of its most valuable aspects and what customers can gain upon purchasing it from you.
Description provides details about your item. It accentuates its benefits, lists its traits, or spotlights its features. You may also utilize videos, visuals, and animated elements to illustrate your item. Distinct item descriptions rank higher in search engine results.
The item portrayal section features an integrated text editor, allowing you to effortlessly include text (and modify its color, size, and font), bullet points, paragraphs, links, or supplementary images and videos.
Tips for enhancing your item descriptions:
- Avoid lengthy sentences and intricate terminology: envision explaining the item to a 10-year-old child.
- Include demo videos of the item: Simply observing a person handle, touch, and interact with the item while elucidating its pros and cons is akin to visiting a physical store. This feature is offered with a Boutique Lite, Business and Premium package.
- Provide concise and elaborate versions of your portrayal: Some individuals prefer skimming rather than reading, while others desire a more thorough understanding of your item; ensure you cater to both preferences.
Product Code (SKU)
Product Code (abbreviated as “Stock Keeping Unit” or SKU) is the identifier that distinguishes the item within your enterprise. You can utilize the product identification code supplied by manufacturers or create your own combinations of alphanumeric characters. Each SKU must be unique. If you leave the SKU field blank, an SKU will be automatically generated.
You can choose whether SKUs are displayed on the item details pages and category pages within your catalog (e.g., if you wish to inform customers of SKUs). To do so, navigate to Design → Sidebar → Product SKU and Design → Product Card details and layout → Product SKU respectively.
Weight
Weight refers to the actual weight of the item. You may leave this field blank (the weight will default to 0) if you offer digital items or services or if you do not ship this item. For accurate calculation of automated shipping rates, input the precise weight of the item (including packaging).
If you wish to display the entered weight values on item pages, you can select this option on the Design page, under the Sidebar section (Product details block).
Check the Requires shipping or pickup box beneath the Weight field if the item necessitates shipping. Uncheck this box if you do not ship the physical item:
Pricing
Costing refers to the amount you're asking for the product. You don't have to include shipping/delivery expenses in the price you specify, as they can be configured separately.
There's either an All prices incorporate taxes or All prices exclude taxes statement beneath the price you input if there are applicable taxes for this product in your store:
This statement is displayed based on the choice you make in the Settings section on the Taxes page in your store admin. This enables you to specify prices with or without taxes included.
Clicking the Manage costing options link below the price reveals the Comparison price, Bulk discount, and "Pay what you want" settings:
"Comparison" price — The original price of a discounted product. When you set a "Comparison" price, the product displays a discounted price and the amount saved.
Bulk discount — Graduated pricing for each product based on quantity. Discounts are applied instantly when the quantity added to the cart changes. For instance, a product may cost $44 individually, but if you buy five items, the price per item will be $40.
"Pay what you want" — An option that lets customers name their own prices for products in your store. Enabling this option provides an empty field on the product page where customers can input the price they're willing to pay. You can set a minimum price (e.g., $44) for your product and suggest prices if desired.
Product availability and stock control
Availability — Product availability can be selectively enabled (and disabled) for each product. When disabled, your store visitors won’t see this product on your storefront. Enable it whenever you're ready to sell.
Stock control — If you have a limited supply of a product to sell, you can use the inventory management section to specify the quantity available for online purchase and configure low stock notifications. Additionally, you can choose the behavior for this product when it's out of stock. Options for visibility of out-of-stock products include hiding them from the storefront, displaying them, and accepting pre-orders.
- Input the quantity in stock into the Quantity in Stock field
- Set the out-of-stock behavior in the When out of stock dropdown
- Input the threshold at which you wish to receive Low Stock notifications into the Send me a note when quantity in stock reaches field (by default, it is “1”)
If you prefer not to track the inventory of this product in-store, select Unlimited in the Quantity in Stock field. This ensures that the product is always available for purchase in unlimited quantities (useful when selling digital goods, for example).

Categories
Categories are collections of products that a product is grouped into. They aid customers in navigating your store swiftly and locating the products they require.
A product must be assigned to at least one category. One product may belong to multiple categories. If you don't assign a product to any specific category, it is automatically placed in the default Store front page category. Deactivate the Display on the store’s front page option if you prefer not to showcase this product on the front page of your store:
If you allocate a product to any category in addition to the Store front page category, this category becomes the product's default store category. If the product is assigned to two or more categories, one of the categories will be designated as Default:
The default category will be displayed in the breadcrumbs on your product's page. For instance, if you assigned boardshorts to the "New Arrivals" and "Men’s Apparel" categories and selected the "New Arrivals" grouping as default, breadcrumbs for the item on the product page will appear as follows: Home / Store / New Arrivals.
To modify the default category:
- From your store admin, navigate to Catalog → Products.
- Open the product you wish to change the default category for.
- Scroll down to the Categories section.
- Select the category you want to set as default and click the three dots.
- Click Set as default and then click Save.

Product labels and product descriptors
Both product subtitles and product ribbons serve as means to draw additional attention to a product on your storefront.
Product subtitles are brief descriptions that provide customers with additional information about product benefits or components. You can opt to display descriptors on both the product list and on the product details page, or in just one location.

Product ribbons are colored tags that appear in your catalog above product images. They can help emphasize certain products on your storefront visually. These tags contain custom text; for example, "Top Pick", "20% Discount", "Fresh", "Holiday Special" or "Free Delivery" — depending on your needs.

Attributes
The Attributes tab enables you to specify product characteristics, which may be necessary for accounting, inventory management, or other purposes. For instance, books are often distinguished by attributes such as ISBN, author, publisher, cover material, language; apparel can be identified by brand, season, fabric, etc. You can include this information in features.
With attributes, you can also retain certain private details that you prefer not to disclose to your customers (e.g., net cost).

If you sell on marketplaces, you can also designate the Marketplace categories for this specific product. This can be helpful if you offer products from various categories.
Choices, input fields, and variations
The Choices section is where you can generate choices, entry fields, and modifications for your product.
Choices — If you offer products in various styles, sizes, etc., you can present them as one base product with choices. Using product choices, you can also provide additional features like customized packaging.
Find out more about product choices →
Input fields — If you require customers to furnish extra details like special instructions, preferred dates, or files for products or services you sell, you can include entry fields to collect this information.
Discover more about input fields →
Variations — If your product has choices, you can additionally create variations for it. Product variations are distinct sets of choices (e.g., medium size, or a Blue XL).
Adaptations can aid you in monitoring the stock of individual product choices as you can assign a unique SKU to each alteration. You can also add visuals for specific alterations so that customers have a clearer idea of what they are purchasing. Additionally, you can set individual weights, UPCs, and prices for your alterations.

Electronic Data
The Files section allows you to upload the file or files, so you can offer downloadable content such as e-books, videos, music, digital artwork, and any other digital material. We deliver them instantly and securely to buyers upon purchase.
If you wish to sell a physical product or service that includes a file (instruction manual, e-book, etc.) that buyers can download after purchase, you can also attach such a file in the Files section.
Delivery & Pickup
The Delivery & Pickup section enables you to specify products as shippable, set product-specific shipping methods, and define products’ weight and dimensions.
This product requires delivery or Pickup — The option to indicate whether a product needs to be delivered. Uncheck it for digital products and services or for products that you never deliver.
Weight and Dimensions — The actual weight and dimensions of the product.
The value in the Weight field corresponds to the value in the Weight field on the General section of the product details page. In the Delivery & Pickup section, you can also specify your products' Length, Width, and Height to obtain precise carrier-calculated delivery rates for your customers (if the integration with your delivery carrier supports dimensional weight).
Delivery Rates — Individual delivery rates for this specific product (if it requires delivery). Utilize one of the four provided options to set product-specific delivery rates:
By default, your store’s delivery methods that you configure on the Delivery and Collection page are utilized. You can stick to the first delivery rates option — your store's standard delivery rates — if the item is delivered like most of the products in your store.
Alternatively, you can specify special delivery rates for the product — add a fee on top of your regular store's rates, select individual delivery methods for this product, specify individual delivery price per each item ordered, or provide free delivery for this product.
Taxes
If you’re utilizing manual tariffs in your shop and your product requires product-specific tariff rates (e.g., it has a unique tariff applied to it, or it is tariff exempt), you can activate or deactivate specific tariffs on the Taxes section.
Related products
The related products section allows you to exhibit the “You may also like” section in your online shop as well as to cross-sell products in the cart. You can manually select specific recommended products, display random products, or employ a blend of these two options.

FAQ
How can I incorporate a video into a product description?
To integrate a video into a product description:
- Upload your video file to YouTube or Vimeo. It is not possible to upload a video file directly from a computer or other device.
- Copy the link (URL) of the uploaded video.
- From your shop admin, navigate to Catalog → Products.
- Create a new product or select an existing one.
- Paste the link into the Description field.
- Save the changes. The video will be displayed in your product description.
How do I eliminate decimals from product prices?
To eradicate decimals from product prices:
- From your shop admin, go to Settings → General → Regional Settings.
- Activate Hide trailing zeros in fractional part:
This eliminates all remnants from your prices if they display a zero — $40.00 will be presented as $40. If a product price or an order total has a decimal that is not zero (e.g., $40.95), We will exhibit the decimal to reflect the precise cost for customers.
Note that the fractional part is removed automatically if your currency doesn't utilize decimals. For example, prices will never include decimals if the currency is set to Japanese Yen.
How can I be notified when my products are running low or out of stock?
We can notify you about low stock of a product if you enable inventory tracking for this product. Learn more about configuring inventory tracking for a product →
Can I designate the weight in ounces?
Certainly. To input product weight in ounces, proceed to Settings → General → Regional Settings → Weight & Size and select oz in the Weight unit field:
If your product weights are in ounces but you need to display them in pounds (e.g., for your shipping carrier), you can always set your weight unit to pounds on the Weight & Size page and convert the weights in ounces to a decimal ratio for pounds. Each ounce is 0.0625 pounds. Ensure to utilize a zero before the decimal.
